We’re so excited to finally announce the online premiere of Mother, Child, now available to watch right here!
To launch our online premiere, we’re thrilled to have been chosen as a Daily Short Pick by Film Shortage, an online cinema showcasing the best short films online from all corners of the world. It’s a wonderful way to reach new audiences, and you can check out their post right here.
Our online premiere follows a dream festival run since our 2017 festival launch at Melbourne International Film Festival, followed by incredible screenings to thousands of film fans across the globe. We’ve been honoured with awards along the way, including Best Short Fiction at the 2017 SAE ATOM Awards, a Silver Remi at the 2018 WorldFest-Houston Film Festival and the Best Sydney Made Film award at Sydney Indie Film Festival 2018.
We can’t be happier with the film’s journey since its release and we certainly don’t take our success for granted. The real joy for the cast and crew has been the inspiring feedback from audiences all over, as they shared with us their own experiences with Stroke survivors and carers, or for the fact that the film simply reminded them to give their mothers or fathers a call! We’re so pleased that audiences have resonated with the themes that the film explores, as well as the Stroke survivor and carer awareness it highlights, the very reason why we embarked on making Mother, Child.
We encourage you to please share the film with friends and family and help us celebrate Stroke survivors and carers everywhere. And most of all, to take a moment to check in with your loved ones, both young and old.
