This also means that Mother, Child has won a coveted REMI AWARD. At WorldFest, only 15% of this year’s 1500 short film entries worldwide were awarded a Remi, and only 1% of the short films are selected for screening.

WorldFest is unique in that the jury for each category judges films and awards them before the festival finalises its program. Award winners are then put through another round of deliberation before screening films are chosen.

We couldn’t be more thrilled with the opportunity for Mother, Child to screen to an international audience once again in what will be our South West USA premiere!

WorldFest was founded over 50 years ago as an International Film Society in Houston, eventually becoming the third competitive international film festival in North America, following San Francisco and New York. It is now one of the oldest and largest film and video competitions in the world, receiving over 4500 entries from 37 counties in a festival that spans 12 different categories.

We’ll have more details on where to purchase tickets very soon.
